Lash Extensions: Our Sets Broken Down

Getting eyelash extensions for the first time, or even the 10th time can be an overwhelming experience with all the questions & concerns you must have. Our hope is this post helps you to decide what options are best for you & whether or not our studio is the best fit for what you’re looking for.

The Lingo: every studio operates differently. Our studio has a few traditional phrases that are universally used in the lash industry, minus one phrase that is unique to our studio. We don’t use terms like “sassy #2” for a look, as we don’t offer generic sets. Every let we offer is uniquely tailored to each client, and each client can alter their look during our time for special occasions. Below is a listing of our eyelash extension services & some photos to help visually see the difference. We also have a photo gallery available for more examples of our work.

  • Natural Highlight Set: A set with a set number of extensions (100 extensions) applied every time. We count the number of lash extensions we apply and always apply the same number of extensions.

    • Pro: A consistent look.

    • Con: You may notice you want a relash sooner, as we are not lashing every lash.

  • Classic Full Set: We lash every healthy lashable lash, we don’t count the number of extensions we apply (this is a little different from most other studios who do count). This look provides a natural but fuller look as we individually apply an eyelash extension to each healthy natural eyelash.

  • Hybrid Full Set: We lash every healthy lashable lash, we don’t count the number of extensions we apply (this is a little different from most other studios who do count). In a hybrid set, we apply a combination of classic and volume extensions (up to 5D) for a slightly fuller looking set, but nothing compared to a volume full set.

  • Volume Full Set: We lash every healthy lashable lash, we don’t count the number of extensions we apply (this is a little different from most other studios who do count). In a volume set, we apply only volume in studio made fans from 2D-5D. We do not premake our fans for quality and weight purposes. We make each fan in the moment, right before we apply them to minimize the extra weight that premade fans can have.

  • Mega Volume Full Set: We lash every healthy lashable lash, we don’t count the number of extensions we apply (this is a little different from most other studios who do count). In a mega volume set, we apply volume lash fans of 5D -10D, made in studio right before application. Like with the volume or hybrid fans, we do not premake our mega volume fans, to minimize the extra weight that premade fans can have.

  • Mini Relash: For a mini relash, we remove any outgrown lash extensions, and reapply new extensions, ensuring no more than 100 natural lashes have eyelash extensions applied. This is a service best booked from 1-7 days from the last session. Upon arrival, 90% of your lash extensions must be in tact, or the service will need to be upgraded to a full set.

  • Regular Relash: For a regular relash, we remove any outgrown lash extensions and reapply new extensions to every healthy lashable natural lash. This is a service best booked from 8-21 days after the last session. Upon arrival, 70% of your lash extensions must be in tact, or the service will need to be upgraded to a full set.

  • Extended Relash: For a regular relash, we remove any outgrown lash extensions and reapply new extensions to every healthy lashable natural lash. This is a service best booked from 22-29 days after the last session. Upon arrival, 30% of your lash extensions must be in tact, or the service will need to be upgraded to a full set. Anything after 29 days. a full set is required.

  • Full Set: For a full set, we apply a single lash extension( or set of extensions for hybrid, volume & mega volume) to each individual natural eyelash.

It’s important to keep in mind that with any set, results vary. Depending on how many natural lashes you have you may have a fuller or less full look depending on how many natural lashes we’re able to lash. If you are looking for a very full look and you have a ton of natural lashes, you can achieve a hybrid looking set for the time & cost of a classic set. On the other hand, if you’re looking for a very full set, but you don’t have very many natural lashes, you may want to book a hybrid or volume set to achieve your desired look because a classic set won’t be full enough.

How do we decide on your look? It’s important to us that every client understands that every lash artist has a different style, and every salon or studio has a different way. There is nothing wrong with anyone’s style or way, it’s just different and really, it’s just about you finding the right fit for you & your needs, kind of like finding the right brand of shampoo or face wash. What works for one person may not work for another. We love our industry & we believe there is a place for everyone and everyone’s way.

For us, when we sit down for your initial consult we’d like to know more about you. What do you do for work? What’s your style? Boho? Glam? Goth? Is this a once for a special occasion or to try it out, or is this a semi-permanent service you’re looking for? Do you wear eye glasses? Do you surf or do hot yoga? All these things play into what we’ll recommend for you. But together your lash artist and you will figure out what’s the best look. Ultimately your natural eyelashes will determine what we can do. Our goal is to always to do what’s best for the integrity of the natural eyelashes & maintain their health.

We hope this helps break down what our studio’s approach is, and gives you a little help on what to book. If not, we’re always around to answer any questions, just give us a call or send us a text message or email. We respond within 24 hours of receipt of any messages.
